We chose our name for a reason. Your core is at the centre of who you are, and that's what we're here to support. Whatever your age, stage, or goals, we believe good health is non-negotiable.
For over 10 years, we've helped people rebuild strength from within, because real strength starts at your core.

Our physiotherapists treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and movement-related conditions, from sports injuries, lower back, hip and pelvic pain, and post-surgical rehabilitation, through to pregnancy and post-natal care, balance and mobility for older adults, and support for children and elite athletes alike. Whatever your age, stage or goals, we take a holistic, evidence-based approach to get you moving well and feeling stronger.
Yes. We offer HICAPS, so if you hold private health insurance with the relevant extras cover you can claim on the spot. This applies to Physiotherapy, Functional Physio (1:4), Physio:8, Pre and Post Natal services and Myotherapy. The exact rebate depends on your fund and level of cover, so feel free to call our reception team on 03 9523 8111 to check what you'll be eligible for.
It depends on your condition, goals and how your body responds to treatment. After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will talk you through a tailored plan and give you a clear idea of what to expect. Some people need only a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing support to stay at their best.
No referral is needed to book a standard private appointment, so you can come straight to us. If you're claiming through Medicare (for example a Chronic Disease Management/EPC plan), WorkCover or the TAC, you'll need a referral from your GP first. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll help you sort it out.
Every Clinical Pilates session at Core is an active physiotherapy session, individually tailored and led by a physiotherapist. We combine clinical exercise prescription with Pilates repertoire and Balanced Body equipment, in small groups capped at four people. Your program is built around your assessment and your goals rather than a set class routine, and it is adjusted as you progress.
Yes. The studio has lift access and walker-friendly spaces throughout, so it is suitable if you use a mobility aid or find stairs difficult. If you have specific access needs, call us on 03 9523 8111 before your first visit and we will make sure everything is set up for you.
We love treating pregnant women and the common complaints that come with pregnancy, pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, pubic symphysis pain and more. You can attend Clinical Pilates/Functional Physio sessions throughout pregnancy, right up until you deliver. Start with an initial FP assessment so we can plan your program, or book a standard physiotherapy appointment if that's what you need.
Our biggest difference is that every member of staff is a physiotherapist, with a physiotherapy degree plus additional Pilates training. That means our clients get the expertise of a physio in every session. We've also built a strong community over 18 years, you're not just a number -and we work closely with other allied health professionals, doctors and surgeons.
